Good Practices Guide

🏠 Welcome to CRU

CRU is a shared home. Every action affects the wider community. These practices help us maintain a healthy, pleasant and functional workspace.

🔇 Focus and noise

The coworking space is not a library, but a quieter environment helps people focus. Keep conversations low and use a meeting room or the call booth for phone calls and video meetings whenever possible.

Keep your phone on a low volume or silent, particularly when you leave your desk.

🖨️ Printer

The printer is intended for occasional document printing. Avoid bulk jobs or pages with heavy ink coverage; please use a professional print service for those.

🪑 Your workspace

Keep your area reasonably organised and presentable. Avoid accumulating rubbish, bags, boxes or materials unrelated to your current work. Changes to furniture, decoration or the amount of space occupied require authorisation.

🔑 Doors, access and safety

Open the coworking door carefully and keep it fully closed rather than ajar. Cold air and noise affect everyone working in the open space.

When the shop or street door is closed, keep it closed. Carry your access card so that you do not need to ring the bell.

🌐 Internet

CRU’s internet must not be used for illegal downloads or torrents. Avoid unnecessary traffic that reduces the speed available to the community.

🍽️ Food and drinks

You may eat and drink at your workspace, provided that food, mugs and glasses are removed from desks and cabinets at the end of the day.

Food kept in the fridge must be sealed and labelled. On Fridays, unlabelled food and containers may be discarded.

♻️ Waste and recycling

Small bins around the coworking and common areas are for paper only. Place plastic, glass, packaging and organic waste in the appropriate kitchen bins.

Cardboard boxes and oversized waste must be taken by the person who produced them to the recycling containers on the street.

🧼 Kitchen and dishes

Place used dishes in the dishwasher or wash them immediately. The sink must be left free of dirty dishes.

Patterned mugs, food and other labelled items belong to individual coworkers. Do not use them without permission.

Tableware from Café Amazonas is not compatible with CRU’s dishwasher; return it to the café under the agreed procedure.

⚡ Courtyard, electricity and equipment

In summer, if you are the last person to unplug from the courtyard extension lead, wind it up and put it away.

Do not operate the toaster and microwave at the same time. Heaters and other high-powered electrical equipment require prior approval; additional desk lighting must be LED.

Switch off your equipment at the end of the day. Tell the team if something exceptionally needs to remain on overnight.

🚲 Bicycles

Bicycles may remain in the courtyard while you are working. CRU does not provide permanent parking, so take your bicycle with you at the end of the day.

🕒 Opening hours

Respect the opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am–7:30 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am–7:30 pm.

Re-entry is not permitted after 7:15 pm. If the space is empty, it may close at any time between 7:15 pm and 7:30 pm.

🐾 Pets

CRU is dog-friendly, but bringing a dog always requires prior approval from the team.

Make sure your dog is calm, clean, sociable, supervised and close to your workspace. Prevent barking and free roaming around the coworking space.

Take your dog outside when it needs exercise or a toilet break. Remove bowls, food, blankets and toys at the end of the day.

Choose days carefully according to the number of people and animals in the space. Do not feed or excite someone else’s dog without permission.

If an animal is affecting your work, speak to its owner or to the CRU team.

💳 Monthly fee and leaving

Keep your payment method up to date. Monthly fees are charged on the first day of each month. If you already know that you are leaving, we would appreciate hearing from you by the 20th — it really helps us organise workspaces and welcome new coworkers. You can still cancel later through your customer account, provided you do so before the renewal on the first day of the month, to avoid the following month’s charge. The month already paid remains available until its end.
