Joel Faria, observador ávido e desenhador compulsivo, apresentar-nos-á, ao longo da exposição, diferentes séries de retratos que nos oferecerá ao olhar, renovando-as a cada semana.
«2016, Setembro. Um dia cheio de mensagens de aniversário deu início a um projecto que percorreu o quotidiano por 8 meses. Agradecer a todos com um retrato tornou-se um propósito sem prazo. Ao longo das semanas o desenho acontecia, em paralelo com outros projectos e trabalhos. Um dia deu nisto. Quase 600 retratos de agradecimento, sem briefing e orientações, senão a da gratidão».
Joel Faria, an avid observer and compulsive sketcher, will present to us, throughout the exhibition, different series of portraits which will feed our eyes with some brand new ones every week.
«2016, September. One day full of birthday wishes a project which lasted for 8 whole months began. To thank every single one with a portrait became a purpose without an end. For several weeks drawing happened, in parallel with many other projects and works. One day that was it. Almost 600 portraits were drawn to thank everyone, with no briefing nor defined direction, than gratitude itself».
